Chromatic Note?

Another term for passing notes - also known as fillers to give your basic musical scales some color. As per Wikipedia - it is a note that does not belong to the prevailing key, but is still used nonetheless. A double edged sword, which if used correctly will make a great impact, otherwise will cause a big mess.
